During my College days, I love doing volunteer work for International Film Festivals and productions. I'm a frustrated film student, maybe. But when the UP FILM Center declared that I am their Research Assistant, I quit. Why? because I did not want to sign my allowance for work. I just love "squatting" at the Center that much and I like the fact that I could sleep and bathe in it fortnights ,without commitments!
Then when I had my eldest, I volunteered too and brought him to Cinemanila office near Bagtikan, Makati. But I quit, again. Why ,I guess I'm better off a fanatic than its organizer. Things and need change.
But I always am proud to say , once a Cinemanila volunteer, always will love Cinema. I love Cinemanila!
How different is Cinemanila from the others? This is an annual film festival held in Manila founded by Filipino filmmaker Amable "Tikoy" Aguiluz in 1999. Its focus is on the cinema of the Philippines as well as the films of our neighboring Southeast Asian cinema.
I missed the opening since I was in a turmoil. I missed that Cinemanila 2011 is at the BGC in the City of Taguig but still
I ❤ Cinema. I ❤ Cinemanila
