CHILDREN’S THEATER 2

(Ages 9-12)

Enable your kids to experience music, movement and dance, puppetry, storytelling, drama improvisation, poetry and writing, coupled with lots of fun and games. Let them enjoy creative processes that will develop their imagination, self-confidence and the world around them.

PRODUCTION WORKSHOP FOR CHILDREN (Children’s Theater 3)

(Ages 9-12)

Let your children turn stories into theatrical presentations involving scenes and characters from their own imagination, or from their well-loved stories.

TEEN THEATER 1

(Ages 13-16)

Articulate youth power through the unique PETA Integrated Theater Arts (ITA) approach – creative drama, creative sounds and music, creative writing, creative body movements and dance, visual arts and group dynamics. Channel your youthful energy into something creative and enjoyable as different styles of theater and media are discovered. Express your talent as you mount an original piece on youth concerns.

PRODUCTION WORKSHOP FOR TEENS (Teen Theater 3)

(Ages 13-16)

Journey into a series of artistic discovery and explorations from Asian and Western Theater traditions to the Philippine Theater experience. Creatively work on different genres. Mount theatrical production pieces that reflect your artistic talents and concerns.

THEATER ARTS 1

(Ages 17 up)

Plunge into a unique artistic experience by acquiring fundamental knowledge, skills and attitudes in theater acting, dramatic improvisation and theater production craft – design, writing, sound and music. Experience the PETA Integrated Theater Arts (ITA) approach. Focus on and explore relevant themes. Use your acquired knowledge, skills and attitudes for a final, production of your own conceptualization and creation.

BASIC ACTING FOR THEATER: Theater for Artistic Development 1

(Aspiring stage performers ages 17 up)

Laugh. Cry. Tremble. Rage. Ground yourself in the basic knowledge, skills and attitudes on becoming stage actors. Experience different schools of acting and unleash the thespian in you in a challenging commencement recital.

CREATIVE MUSICAL THEATER: Theater for Artistic Development 2

(Musically-inclined individuals ages 17 up)

Sound out your innate talents in musical theater – voice, composition, movement, dramaturgy and Philippine musical forms – with fun-filled music explorations. Revel in a unique resounding feast for the ears with the staging of your original musical production as graduation piece.

CREATIVE DANCE THEATER: Theater for Artistic Development 3

(Movement and dance aficionados ages 17 up)

Explore your body and movement as a medium of artistic expression. Dig into the rudiments of movement -- cutting space with the body, eight basic efforts, movements found in natural (movements of animals), socio-cultural (Eastern and Western ways of moving) and man-made environments (movement mimicking machinery, sound of contemporary life and such). Maximize these movements to tell stories using dance forms and create dance theater.

PRODUCTION DESIGN: Theater for Artistic Development 4

(Scenic enthusiasts ages 17 up)

Be introduced to the elements and components of design used in theater and cultural/artistic events and its application to Philippine theater using the PETA principle of “Aesthetics of Poverty�. Zoom in on design in theater history, scenic design, costumes and properties and lighting design and techniques. Showcase your scenic creations in an exhibit as your final output.

CREATIVE PEDAGOGY: Theater-in-Education 1

(High school drama club advisers/moderators )

Rev up your moderating/teaching competency by engaging in and maximizing tools for creativity and analysis. Design your one-year club plan as your final output.

10 sessions April 28 – May 9 Mon to Fri 1-5pm Studio B P4,500.00

APPLICATION PROCEDURE (First-come- first-served) :

1. Call the PETA Theater Center Tuesdays to Fridays, 10:30am to 6:00pm to set an appointment with Julie Bautista or Kamill Zaplan.

2. Bring valid ID and two pieces passport-sized latest photos and present to the PETA Theater Center on appointment date.

3. Fill out application form and workshop conformé then undergo the audition and/or interview/s.

4. Pay the course fee in full or a non-refundable deposit of 25%. Course fee must be fully paid on the first day of classes.
