Powerbooks Origami Workshop



I have always been amazed at what patience and beauty an Origami holds. I guess it's time for the kids to be part of a workshop that might teach them to persevere too.

When: April 17, 2011 // 3PM
Where: Powerbooks Greenbelt

Origami which literally means to fold(ori) and paper(kami) is fun, creative, and amazing! There are many origami models that can be folded by anyone - even if you think you have two left thumbs - and we will be exploring these in a one-day workshop to be facilitated by Sensei Jovita Sancho. Get ready to have fun, and be inspired.Registration starts on March 22 at all Powerbooks branches.

How to Join:

1. For every Php 500 purchase of Lifestyle titles published by Periplus entitles the customer to a FREE Origami workshop and a set of Japanese origami paper(to be given on the day of the workshop).
2. Customers must present their Powerbooks receipt (dated March 22 to April 17) at the customer service to confirm their registration.
3. The workshop will be held at Powerbooks Greenbelt on April 17, 2011 , 3PM.

Who is Jovita C. Sancho?

Sancho sensei is a teacher at the Nihongo Center Philippines. She learned Nihongo in 1996 at the Center and studied in Aoyama Gakuin Women's University in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan. She does "Origami" as a hobby and her favorite among others is the "crane" which is the symbol of peace in Japan. It is said that the origami of the crane has become synonymous with origami itself.
