Ever find yourself mulling over the complexities of a modern woman’s life? You’ve heard all the tales of the women in your life, and have been through some of the same experiences yourself: love, marriage, dating, family, relationships, travel, friendships, school life, career, heartbreaks, weight issues, and so much more. You have all these stories that are too good to keep to yourself. Why not try your hand at writing Chick Lit, a contemporary variation of fiction that deals with women’s concerns and dilemmas in the modern world.
Learn what defines Chic Lit and distinguishes it from other forms of women’s fiction and how to write for modern women. Tara Sering, author of works such as Almost Married, Between Dinner and the Morning After will discuss this new topic in fiction, give advice on generating story ideas, provide strategies on how to create the first draft, and will give tips on how to get your work published.
Workshop fee is P3,000 inclusive of handouts, materials, snacks, and certificate. A down payment of P500 is required to reserve a slot. The deadline for reservations is August 3, 2009. A 10 percent discount will be given to those who pay in full on or before July 27, 2009.
The workshop will be held at the Filipinas Heritage Library located along Makati Avenue, Ayala Triangle, Makati City (across The Peninsula Manila).
