Hostage taker R. Mendoza and Chinese Tourists in Manila

It started around 0700 and was reported at 1000.
brought to us by a retired policeman who earned only Php 494 until his end of Php 19K,
He played the antagonist in this real life drama last night
He demanded his name be cleaned-but not this way sir, not this way!

He said he will just hitch their ride but it was the ride of one's life he intruded
He asked for demands and yet it's all gone now
He was heavily armed and brought killing knives
He wanted more attention but was not heard nor listened to

Chinese tourists who were flying back at 1900hr, flew on a different journey
Children and the selected few were earlier released but not with the trauma
Some were seated until the hostage ended past 2000
Some died before this whole thing ended

I saw loopholes when assuming everyone has died, missing the part that we can still revive lives
Wrong decisions were made, a tear gas was thrown which made it harder to struggle between breaths of life and death
Rights and LIVES were poorly valued this way
It was his silly deadly game and we all played fool by it

I only pray for the healing of the process
I want no more souls to be crashed, no more dreams shattered
I wait for the day when one of the passengers share her or his-tory
I hope my children and yours won't have to be in the same situation ever
