A little history of why we are not just into the fad....
My eldest son received the Lightning Thief book from his Tita Pia this Christmas. He started to read it after we told him there's an upcoming movie of the book when we saw the trailer while watching The Avatar at the cinema.
When he was close to finishing the last pages ,we all went to watch it at the big screen (plus our story of a big rat at the moviehouse sneeking at our snacks)Anyways, he knew the names of the Gods and even criticized the revisions in scenes.
The Camaro, the pen before the horn, gifts and no Nancy bullying Percy and Grover.
But Uma thurman was a beautiful "Auntie Em' without the burgers and her head ws not boxed to the God's office but in the movie,was stored in the ref signaling a part two.
Pearce Brosnan was the towering Mr. Brunner but he did not give the pen, it should've been Luke.
Also, the Fates were not mentioned, the twist, the chase and mists for Mr Dodds, even characters were either ommitted or added.
So typical Hollywood!
Well, at least the kids had a taste of Greek mythology and now believes in the concept of the Underworld and other forces of the World.
