7th Annual Symphony of Peace Prayers 2011
reposting...
Join over 50 countries all over the world this day
in uniting hearts
across different nations, cultures, and faiths
to create waves of Peace, Light and Love for the healing and renewal of the Earth
through interfaith prayers, music and movement!
The Symphony of Peace Prayers (SOPP) is an inter-religious and inter-spiritual public ceremony that is open for all. On this day we honor and give gratitude to the beautiful peace prayers from different faith traditions (Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu, etc.) in order to create and spread a wave of peace, harmony, light and love to all corners of the Earth, and to elevate the consciousness of all humanity, so that peace may be realized as soon as possible.
Aside from the interfaith peace prayer service, the event engages the public in the World Peace Prayer Ceremony whereby peace is prayed for all the nations as the name of each country in the world is called and its national flag is waved.
Since 2005, the main SOPP has been held at the Fuji Sanctuary in Japan hosted by the Byakko Shinko Kai (see www.byakkoblog.typepad.com/sopp/).
