SSS NORTH FAIRVIEW HOMES and Storm Ondoy

This is also at SSS Housing and indeed in our Computer Street. This was how high the current surprised us. Every household had to go to their 2nd floors and the others who had 3rd floors were lucky enough to capture this in videos. What happened to my mom, sister in law and my two nephews was unexpected of the creek's overflow.Kuya had to saw the window grills so they can escape and walk through roofs.

No rescue Team from the government came!Rescue your own!

AKO MISMO! had to buy floaters from Nova Market Ace Hardware, tie it as backpackers traverse . Those stranded, laughing people teased me it's summer in the middle of the storm.Little did they know my trail from Robinsons Nova, SM Fairview to Mary the Queen Parish was a matter of life and death.Thank you to the Meralco truck for the ride!

Sept 21 2009 was a celebration for dreamers, catalysts and doers at the UP Theater.
People came in yellow while others had a quick fix of buying yellow shirts sold at the venue.
Bottom line is,everyone was entertained with these artists call for CHANGE
No more trapos!
But what did we experience?
My cry was:If you 're being asked for a photo opp, please be keen.Notice if a mother is right beside you, carrying her children, just to be at par with your height and have your picture taken with them first.
If 3 street children entered the UP Theater and is just sitting, watching, enjoying the program, then why would security demand them to go out?
Thanks to Bam Aquino for a compassionate act of letting the 3 boys stay until they want to.
I guess one should better prove that a true PiNOY is indeed ready to be of great service to the "masang Pilipino" and always wears a proactive 360 eyeview!

Korean Film Festival, September 24-29, Shang Cineplex Cinema 3

Shangri-La Plaza, premier lifestyle destination and long-time patron of culture and the arts, provides another round of endless pleasures for mall goers as it plays host to the first-ever Korean Film Festival from September 24 to 29 at Shang Cineplex Cinema 3. The event serves as a celebration of the 60th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Korea.

The film festival aims to showcase the excellence of Korean cinema with an exciting line-up of some of their best and widely acclaimed films produced in the last decade. This is a wonderful time to introduce Filipinos who have already developed a deep appreciation of Korean soap operas to the beauty of Korean cinema.

Driving with My Wife's Lover won triple awards in 2007 in the Sundance International Film Fest, International Film Festival Rotterdam and the Belgrade International Film Festival. The story revolves around Tae-han, who runs a stamp shop in a small town. His life changes when he decides to play witness to his wife's infidelity.

Bagging honors in the Grand Bell Awards, Blue Dragon Film Awards, and Korean Film Awards in 2006, Forbidden Quest is an interesting historical comedy that follows the journey of writer Yun-Seo, a man born into a life of privilege. He decides to become the best erotic author of his time, creating palace intrigues as his work increases in popularity.

Dong-ha and Song-hwa are the main characters in the film Beyond the Years. They are siblings who were adopted separately by singer Yu-Bong. Dong-ha falls in love with Song-hwa, but decides that the relationship would not work and eventually leaves home. Still, he never really stops loving his sister, and everything he does ultimately traces back to her.

The Show Must Go On is a dramatic film that revolves around the life of gangster In-gu, who dreams of nothing but moving his family out of their crowded apartment into a more spacious home. His wife tells him to find a more respectable job. His daughter will not acknowledge him so he begins the challenge of finding a means to provide for his family.

Reaping numerous honors from different award-giving bodies (6 in total) from 2005 to 2007, Sa-Kwa is a romantic drama that tells the story of Hyeon-jeong, who is unexpectedly dumped by her boyfriend of 7 years. She vows to find a new suitor to replace him as soon as possible, as her biological clock keeps ticking away. She ends up falling in love with the most unlikely man at the same time that her ex-boyfriend tries to win her back.

Old Boy has been given many international awards for excellence (including a Cannes award) and follows the journey of a man who has been imprisoned for 15 years without him knowing why. He is released, only to find out that his kidnapper is not done with him yet.

Finally, Barking Dogs Never Bite is a satirical film about a lazy university lecturer who depends on his pregnant wife's salary yet wonders how he can bribe his way to professorship. The constant yapping of a dog in their apartment block finally gets to him, and he sets out to find it with the intention to murder it.

ADMISSION IS FREE!!!

Admission to the Korean Film Fest is free. For film schedules and other inquiries, please contact 633-7851 loc.113 or log on to www.shangrila-plaza.com.

Her name is Ariane from Bicol...Will able to get the other details from the person who referred her by tomorrow. Thank you very much.
